Can the software be installed remotely or will you need to be onsite to do this?

MP-5 an be easily installed remotely. Training can also be done remotely over the Internet, however many users prefer someone on site for this.

How easy is it to upgrade from MP-5 Standard to Premium or Professional?

Very easy. All MP-5 installations begin as 'Standard' version. If 'Premium' or 'Professional' versions are purchased, then you will receive an upgrade programme which you need to run on your PC. What operating systems is MP-5 compatable with?

MP-5 runs under Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and Windows 7.

Can I load the database on a server and run from a networked PC?

Yes. MP-5 is designed to work like this.

Can I run MP-5 in read-only mode?

Yes. There are four user levels built in (more can be added).

How do I provide remote access to MP-5 users? Will MP-5 rununder Citrix Winframe or NT Terminal Server?

One way of overcoming limited network bandwidth is to run the applications at the server end of the network under Citrix or NT Terminal Server and use the network only to transmit screen mouse and keyboard changes to and from the client. This model makes the application server behave like a mainframe, with users needing only low-powered PCs or PC terminals to access the server.

Note: Every user that has access to MP-5 under these type of system needs a license.

Can MP5 process email attachments automatically?

Yes, we can provide a tool to do this.

What are typical system requirements for MP-5?

MP-5 will run on any reasonably modern PC. As a rule of thumb, the normal off-the-shelf PC from your local store will be fine, as would the same machine bought two years ago.

Basic requirements follow:

MP-5 client requirements

Windows XP or newer
2GHz processor
256 MB RAM
500MB free disk space
Screen resolution 1024x768 or greater

Server and Network requirements

Windows Server 2003
Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2 or SQL Express
Network - sufficient to handle the data traffic anticipated (system and user base dependant but usually at least 128kbps dedicated)
Hardware - system dependant - the faster the better. For workgroup or larger usage, a separate database server is recommended.
