Because of the flexibility of our
MP-5 Data Management system, it has found application in a variety
of other circumstances as shown below. Please contact us for
further information on how our systems can help you manage your
data.
Refinery loss management system
Loss of hydrocarbons from refinery
operations means needless loss of profit. We have adapted our data
management system for one of our clients to manage the collection
of data from refineries worldwide. For the first time this customer
can compare in real time the performance of all refineries and
performance against target on one single page.
Contaminated Land
Frequently the management of data
around land contamination arrives from laboratories in spreadsheets
which consultants then translate into paper reports, The value in
the data is frequently lost as a consequence. We have provided our
system to a number of clients who use it to manage data associated
with land contamination. Logs can be associated with boreholes and
trial pits and data can be collected over long period of time.
Compliance values can be set for different location (e.g. different
groundwater boreholes) and data can be viewed spatially through GIS
and contour plots. Reports can be prepared and data shared with
others in a variety of formats including AGS.
Energy
Working together with our partner
Honeywell UK, we have provided our software tools, to a variety of
clients (including Park Cakes and Allied Glass) to better manage
their energy use.
Without purpose built tools energy
managers are frequently forced to scour data in spreadsheets trying
to understand how they are performing. Our tools help clients to
draw out trends quickly and easily helping companies understand
patterns in their energy use and focus on areas where savings can
be made.
Local Authority air Quality Management
Glasgow City Council use MP-5 to manage their air quality
monitoring data
Pollution Inventories
Many countries publish pollution
inventory data which provides the public with information on the
national and regional release of pollutants to the environment.
These are obligate requirements on industry and exist as a result
of particular regional legislation and includes:
- The National Pollution Inventory
in Australia
- The Canadian National Pollution
Release Inventory
- The Toxics Release Inventory in
the USA, borne out of the Emergency Planning and Community Right to
Know legislation.
- The Pollutant Release and Transfer
Register (E-PRTR) in Europe
We have provided particular report
formats for customers, who already use our systems for compliance
management, to enable them to produce data to be included in such
inventories. Most notable among these are the discharge monitoring
reports produced for clients in North America who can then use data
in the DMR for Toxics release inventory reporting.
